There are probably quite a number of bets a crap player can choose from in betting in craps. It is only surpassed by the number of terms and vocabularies that are used in playing the craps game. I give you some basic concepts in playing craps.

The advantage or edge in craps is the percentage the player has of losing per bet in craps. It is computed by calculating the odds of a certain bet rolling up in the dice. It is also called a house advantage or casino advantage.

Behind the line means betting on the odds after establish the point on the first roll of the game of craps.

Betting right means a player of craps is betting with the dice or betting the pass and come bets. Betting wrong, on the other hand, is betting against the dice or betting the don’t pass or don’t come bets in the game of craps.

Box numbers is the area that is surrounding the numbers of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 that is utilized for placing the point and making the come, place and buy bets in craps.

Boxcars is the slang terminology for a 12 roll in craps.

Bring out is used by both players and dealers in making bets for hardway of a point in craps.

Center bets are the bets in craps that are found in the middle of the crap table that is usually handled by the crap stickman. It is also called proposition bets in craps.

A dice in craps is considered a cold dice if it constantly lets the don’t pass bet to win.

Come out roll is what players of craps call the first dice roll of the round before a point is made in craps. Consequently, coming out means that a come out roll is soon to happen.

Correct odds is the probability that a bet in craps will win or a point will be rolled first before a 7.

Easy way is the term for the roll of the dice of 10, 8, 4 or 6 where the dice is not matching, like a 4-4, but with different combinations.

Even money is a 1 to 1 payout. This is the payout for pass line, don’t pass, come and don’t come bets in craps.

Hardway is the term used to describe the same matching combination of dice for numbers 10, 8, 6 or 4, which are 5-5, 4-4, 3-3 and 2-2 respectively.

High roller is the player of craps who bets a lot of money in playing craps.

Inside numbers are the numbers 9, 8, 6 and 5.

Loaded dice is the term for the dice that has weights in it to make the roll favorable for the crap player.
